  • OT, last night must have been a Pobega that Bedrock night.  We took this over to our friends house (the folks that went to Sonoma/Napa with us earlier this month).  I decanted it early in the afternoon and it was still a bit tight when served with dinner. By the time of the last glass it had opened up quite nicely.  This is more about fruit and ... Read More

Andrew Will is a great wine for people who like classic Bordeaux. The mass-market Chateau St. Michelle Cab or Merlot is actually pretty decent for what you pay. A... Read More

  • Bonus Day - Oakland After dropping off the rest or our gang at the airport, the CFO and I decided to extend our vacation by a day and check out the Oakland/Berkely area.  Hey we're out here, might as well make the most of it. After checking into our hotel by the marina and grabbing a nice brunch of shrimp tacos we went stomping around the Berkel... • Last day in wine country (actually yesterday). Well this is it for this trip as far as being in the vineyards goes, might as well go out big. Started the day quite proper with a morning excursion to Iron Horse and their sampling of bubbles.  We've made this a must do since ever since our first pre-noon foray back in 2010.  Absolutely nothing as ...
