Todd Taylor Wines Sangiovese Bell Road California Sendandoah Valley Rouge 2006
Snoothrank:
Starting at $25.00 An absolute knockout wine that shows distinct Foothill notes of blueberry, spice, and dark cherry. A dark and mysteriously balanced wine that actually gave hints of a heavy-handed pinot noir. A great wine for a blind tasting event too!

Easton Cabernet Sauvignon Shenandoah Valley 1999
Snoothrank:
This was a lovely smooth wine after being allowed to breathe and worth every penny. A great find at the winery and one of my favorites to have with dinner. If you have the opportunity to go visit the winery you will not be disappointed. I had a hard time choosing which I liked most... Read more

Sobon Estate Zinfandel Old Vines 2007
Snoothrank:
This is very near what I really like out of a Zin. Lots of fruit, not overly sweet, and kick, kick you butttom. Really digging Amador Co wine, can't wait to do a tasting tour there.

Shenandoah Sauvignon Bl 2008
Snoothrank:
Lots of pithy citrus fruits with notes of sweet bay leaves, coconut, toasted almond and honey. Rather soft in the mouth with a gentle honied character and some spice herbal tones adding depth to the simple apricot and grapefruit toned fruit. Spicy toned of anise, almond and coconut... Read more

Story Winery Picnic Hill Old Vines Zinfandel 2006
Snoothrank:
Not my style, but it has its merits. Some cherry/strawberry fruits with a mild tangy sweetness, accompanied by strong wood flavors. Pretty simple.

Story Winery Picnic Hill Old Vines Zinfandel 2006
Snoothrank:
Pretty well-contained enjoyable zin. Gentile nose with lots of dirt. Well balanced and sweet without being too sugary. Grainy short finish. Middle of the road for me.

Sobon Estate Zinfandel Old Vines 2007
Snoothrank:
Sobon is a big favorite of Total Wine Stores. I tried 4 the Zins (they bottle way too many zins to be reliable), and would never buy it again. All were "poor", even for the low price.

Terre Rouge Syrah Shenandoah Valley "Sentinel Oak" 2002
Snoothrank:
Damn near perfect syrah. Intense earth and smoke give a real sense for the terroir of the Sierras. All the wines that Terre Rouge make are great, but this one is especially fantastic. Sure to please the wine snob in your life.
