Central Coast on Snooth
deep garnet color. taste black cherry, plum, allspice and vanilla. a lot of tannin. long finish.
I love it! It really is a great wine. I especially like the price but I would pay much more for it.
very smooth...a true delight to drink
17th vintage for this Rhone style pioneer. Unfiltered and unfined the wine shows lemon custard, exotic citrus and pear notes with a hint of smoke. Definitely worth a try.
This wine is just blah.. it is a little off in the finish (what there is of it) It has little acidity and almost no tannins the only thing it has going for it is balance but since there is hardly any structure there is...
The Fire Station Red Cabernet is a very pleasant, easy drinking cab, with generous fruit and soft tannins. Would not be my first choice for a steak, but would be great with BBQ or lamb.
Fibo, Deutz had an operation in California in the '80s, down in San Luis ... produced in a part of the Central Coast that was generally under the radar at the time. Good to hear they are doing well down in Oz.
