Maybe because it was a 375ml it was too old, or it was kept too warm. Whatever the case, tart, raisiny and over. Renwood generally produces good zins, but be careful. The 750s might still be OK, but this wasn't a good...

ruby purples in color, rich dark aromas, dark berries, chocolaty, a powerful, full-bodied wine.
Deep, dark cherry and baking spices, blackberry notes and a medicinal finish. Very rich and delicious.

Fantastic. Multiple aromas and flavors. Aside from the ripen cherries, you notice distinct cocoa. And very scent-y, almost floral like. Great value.
A good average zinfandel. It had the classic spiciness without the jamminess of recent years. It was a little lacking in body. A good choice for those who don't like the heavy wines but want a lot of flavor.
