  • Charles Krug Sauvignon Blanc Estate Bottled St. Helena Napa Valley 2014

    Snoothrank:

Fragrant floral aromas of persimmon, honeydew melon, honeysuckle and tangerine. Fairly direct in the mouth, with a creamy mid palate and some candied apple and streaks of peach. Pleasant and approachable. Read More

  • Rombauer Vineyards Zinfandel California 2005

    Snoothrank:

This wine is the reason I joined Snooth. It is my favorite wine, by far. It is rich, decadent, and reasonably priced for a wine of such high quality. It is the only wine that I purchase by the case. I love it that much. Read More

  • Sorry: food!! We didn't eat out much (lots of picnics here and there), but Villa Corona in St Helena was ok Mexican that hit the spot In fact, the gelatto next door was delicious (St Helena Bistro).Ciccio's in Yountville was better, that I recommend. Apart from that we had Pho in San Fran, which tends to be good. • Titus Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2009

    Snoothrank:

Dark reddish purple. Red fruit (?) aromas with, maybe, some mint. Stout oaky bouquet. On the tongue, lots of fruitmore cassis and blueberrybut also some sort of cinnamony spiciness. Quite serious tannin on the edge of the tongue. Good supporting acid. Probably, one that I should not have opened quite yet. Read More

  • Titus Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2007

    Snoothrank:

Dark purple in the glass. Fairly volatile nose suggests alcohol, but there is also a good amount of black berry/fruit aromas. On the tongue the berry fruit jumps out, suggesting a New World take on Cabernet. However, the fruit does not blow me away. As the wine passes farther back there are some herbal and spice notes. A hint of sweetness on... Read More
