Let this wine breath a bit. Blueberry, blackberry and chocolate on the nose. Light with a sweet, but not overdone fruity taste. Full flavored but somewhat of a short finish. For $7.59 a good buy. Have to agree with carpita, i do wish this wine was bolder. the mild tannins went beautifully with the whole wheat baquette and vermont white cheddar and bleu cheese i paired with this wine. if you havent tried it this way i highly recommend it, brings a whole new life to the wine. side note, i baked the cheese for 5 minutes at 425 in the oven b... Still a bit tight upon opening, nose is muted. Flavors burst immediately however on tasting. Blackberry, slight oak, a little leather, finishing with moderate tannins but easy. Nice winter wine maybe best drunk on its own or with a hearty beef stew. I think this can still develope for a few years. Read More
