Terra Alta on Snooth

November 2009

Very unique burnt berry nose of crushed flowers and powder. Quite dry, with a bit of funk and lots of earth.

Oriel Terra Alta Setena Red 2004

Starting at $13.99 Snoothrank: 3/5

a deep dark blend of black cherries and currants with some spice at the beginning, a mineral finish drawn out and medium tannins.

Oriel Terra Alta Setena Red 2004

Starting at $13.99 Snoothrank: 3/5
November 2009

Starts our simple, but after a few sips the flavor turns very strong. Interesting aromas and flavors of cherries. Another good Spanish wine to add to my list.

Oriel Terra Alta Setena Red 2004

Starting at $13.99 Snoothrank: 3/5

Sweet syrupy nose - slightly gamey. Rich and full-bodied with lots of acidity. Black cherries and a hint of eucalyptus dominate. Long acidic finish and a fair amount of complexity. Very enjoyable, but the nose promised...

Oriel Terra Alta Setena Red 2004

Starting at $13.99 Snoothrank: 3/5
October 2009

Full-bodied and dry. Cherry, sweet, smokey vanilla and cranberry on the nose. Bold flavors of black cherry, rubber, grape and leather on the palette. A great finish raspberry, cinnamon and cherry. There was a fair bit...

Heron Terra Alta Sexto 2006

Starting at $17.99 Snoothrank: 3.5/5

a light, fresh wine, very aromatic in florals and pear peach citrus notes, medium acidity and med+ alcohol levels, a little heat was felt but finishes wonderfully. A fun wine for warmer weather or a light dish

Light aromas, flavors are fresh, mostly citrus and pear. It's light and refreshing.

Loved it. had it with Indian food and trust me - it was lovely! At first I thought - Hmmm... and then enjoyed it..

The label is simple and the wine complex. An excellent Spanish wine blending ... the world currently, while Terra Alta (high altitude) is still modestly priced. A definite must try
