Is this what Chateauneuf-du-Pape would taste like if it were grown in limestone? More mineral, bright red fruits, less power and dry as the desert. Maybe, maybe not but this one's a bargain.

A great crowd pleaser. Cheap, tasty and easy to find.

Nice dark color. Tight nose but has some cherry, oak, cedar. Nice round mouthfeel, soft tannins, with good cherry flavors. No fakeness in this wine for the price point. Great pizza wine.

Still pretty dry, but with some notes of buttery creaminess lacking in the cristalino. Massive bottle.
