Bierzo Wine

This region is in the northwest of Spain, in the Castilla y Leon province near Galicia. Its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and Cordillera Cantabrica mountain range ensures temperatures that are more moderate than other parts of the province. This means the Mencia grapes, thought to be a cousin of Cabernet Franc, ripen full and slowly, providing deep, smoky, luscious wines. 
 
Garnacha is also grown for blends. White wines are produced from Godello, Dona Blanco and Palomino.

Softer and fruitier than the De2 wine by the same winery. This wine has strawberry fruit with a touch of marzipan. Its young, and the medium bodied tannins are still tight. More sweetness on the finish.
