Correctly vinified (dry) with a pleasant nose of roses and raspberry moose, it is full bodied with nicely integrated ripe tannins and the oak from the barrel gives it an elegant touch. Pleasant aftertaste too, it's worth your while for the money, as it is spicier than a regular French Merlot (and I love it for that!) bringing out black pepper, cinnamon and vanilla and some very interesting notes of dark chocolate and raspberry jam in a warm, lingering aftertaste.    (hide)
