Bosco Viticultori Canal Grando Venezia Rosé Raboso Spumante Dry
| Region: | Raboso |
| Type: | Sparkling Wines |
Raboso del Piave is produced in the Piave region in the Veneto, Italy. This is a wine that dates back many centuries, referenced by 1st century writer Pliny the Elder in his Naturalis Historia. Throughout the centuries, the wine was imported throughout Europe, and Raboso was one of the the most planted red grapes in Piave. But in the middle of the 20th century, other grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot became more favored for their more “marketable” familiarity, and Raboso plantings declined. The Confraternita di Raboso Piave was founded in the 1990s to preserve and help re-popularize the wine.

The nose was beautiful with lush pink floral notes, ripe peach and a spritz of minerals. On the palate, it was remarkably fresh and vibrant with hints of young strawberries and inner floral notes which lasted through the long and refreshing mineral-laden finish. Read More

The nose was reminiscent of summer days with watermelons, fresh sliced apples and floral undergrowth. On the palate, a refreshing wave of fruits washed over the senses with a hint of sweetness and a perfect dose of refreshing acidity. The hardest thing about tasting this wine is that I just wanted to keep drinking it. Read More

This brilliantly colored prosecco has a pleasant mix of floral and fruity aromas. Its flavor exhibits a certain freshness and softness that allows for a velvety finish, a quality that is somewhat unique for prosecco. It goes best with fish and soft cooked meals. Read More

Aromas and flavors of strawberries and cream. Not as bubbly as I anticipated, but still a nice texture. Good acidity, short finish. What this lacks in complexity, it makes up by being one of the most purely refreshing wines I've had in some time. Read More

Not too dry, just a hint of sweet. It is a beautiful color, different than the rest in that regard because the pink is so delicate. Basically it is just fun to drink. Personally, as a woman, I find it is an ideal drink to grab and get together with your girlfriends. But in general, try it you will probably like it. I loved it and plan to buy more! Read More
