Very good Portugese red, with dried herbs and nice savory fruit. Killer with pulled pork (if you pass on the sweet BBQ sauce), and a very good price/performance wine. Read More
April 2012
Enjoyed this on 21 April, 2012 with strawberries and wonderful mint-vanilla mascarpone cream. The wine shows intense plum and raisins on the nose and the palate is also very Christmas-like, wonderful light-sweet, well-balanced and gentle plum-raisin, with a very long and enjoyable after taste of ... Christmas. I like it very much. Read More

We encountered a wonderful white fruity wine on a Globus tour at the Fonseca winery in Setubal 3 weeks ago and are trying to determine which one it was and how we can get in touch to have some sent to New Mexico. How can we get in touch with the winery? lanona&@q.com

Ripe fruit, in a good way, with plum, apple, blackberries, and apricots. The mouth is noticeably acidic, and very mildly tannic. Overall it's pretty well balanced, and the smokey oak flavors provide a nice finish. Read More
