Vodka flavored with infused bison grass is very popular. The compound coumarin, found in the grass, adds a pleasant aromatic note to the vodka. However, the concentrated amounts of coumarin found in bison grass are illegal in the US because they are thought to be dangerous blood-thinners. Recently, Zu brand bison grass vodka has been produced with the coumarin levels reduced enough to pass FDA muster and achieve global export. The color itself is stunning: Dark amber with slight pinkish hues throughout. The nose to me smelled a bit barnyard-like, very similar to buckwhea... Read More
