Venezie IGT (delle Venezie) are wines that are produced inter-regionally between the “Tre Venezie” Italian provinces of Belluno, Padova, Rovigo, Treviso, Venezia, Verona, Vicenza (Veneto), Gorizia, Pordenone, Trieste, Udine (Friuli-Venezia Giulia) and Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). These wines can be produced from fruit within either of these provinces singularly or as a blend from throughout the IGT zone. Also, the wines do not have to adhere to DOC regulations for allowable varietals or aging, allowing wine-makers freedom of experimentation.

The wines from delle Venezie IGT may be produced as bianco, rosso, rosato, frizzante (slightly sparkling) and novello (young, akin to Beaujolais Nouveau).

Delle Venezie on Snooth

  • Masi Masianco Pinot Grigio & Verduzzo 2012

    Snoothrank:

Light and floral aromas of orange blossom, honey and peach. Palate is fresh and lively, but simple yet pleasing. There's peach and apricot, a bit of lemon zest and green apple. The long finish is even a bit herbal. Read More

  • Tedeschi Corasco IGT Delle Venezie 2010

    Snoothrank:

Lots of tobacco and carob on the nose with plenty of spice notes, green leaf, and green peppercorn. This is very fruity on entry, with lots of strawberry and fine almost blue fruits in an elegant style. The midplate reveals a little plumpness with tons of pure, crushed wild berry fruit, and clean, firm mineral driven flavors through the finish. ... Read More

  • Da Luca Pinot Grigio 2012

    Snoothrank:

Fairly neutral on the nose with pithy citrus aromas, hints of pistachio, and some raw green herbal notes. Bright and juicy in the mouth, this does deliver some attractive citrus fruit and pith flavors early on the palate and reverts to that hint of pistachio and pithy character with a hint of honey on the backend through the modest if clean and... • Lamberti Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie Santepietre 2012

    Snoothrank:

Great value here for a sub-15 dollar bottle. The nose is delicate - I picked up some white peach, meyer lemon, marzipan, and sweetgrass. More of the same on the palate - soft and light. Mouthwatering but soft/tangy acidity and surprisingly long length. I really appreciated the length of this simple and delicate wine. Definitely quaffable. Read More
