Treviso is a province of the Italy’s Veneto region, considered one of the finest sources of the sparkling wine Prosecco. Prosecco wines produced according to DOC regulations within Treviso are are labeled Prosecco di Treviso. Treviso also encompasses two DOCG’s - Prosecco di Conegliano-Valdobbiadene and Colli Asolani Prosecco - and these are usually labeled with these titles to delineate their higher quality.

Prosecco is the name given to both the style of the sparkling wine and the grape from which it is made. Though more recently, the varietal is frequently referred to by its nickname Glera to best delineate the two.

For more information about Prosecco, its history and production, please see Prosecco in the Grapes section.
