While the name means 'little sweet one' this is one of the great dry wines of NW Italy. Vibrant in color and in flavor this is all about grapey freshness and youth. Share one with your 'dolcetto'

Bought this because of the year (1999) and the fact my family is from Alba,Piedmount.....what an excellent surprise...can't wait to get more

Great for those that like sweeter wines, but personally not for me. Sweetness of soda or grape juice.

I've been looking for a wine this sweet for some time now. This is the first wine I've come across that I like enough to buy a second bottle of, so needless to say I really like it.
GDP is a great resource for Barbera, so I wont go there... but I can speak to ... Dolcetto di Dogliani over Alba, since they are not as "sugary". They have a great aroma, and nice dark color, but are not powerhouses....
This among one of the best brandies I've ever tasted - at any price.
