Taburno on Snooth
Discovered this wine in Sorrento... very light and refreshing with pear flavor and a hint of citrus. Pairs best with a light meal.
Had it for the first time in Positano Italy. Very crisp and somehwat dry taste.
I've come to expect a fruitier experience from falanghina, but this was mostly dry and, for my money, lacked adventure. A smooth drink but nothing to get excited over.
ok, not a white wine, but i recently tried, and really liked, this rose: ...-taburno-aglianico-alvarosa-rose-2007/ i'd serve that at a picnic for sur
ok, i failed yesterday and reposted a grape that adam had already done.. I had ...-taburno-aglianico-alvarosa-rose-2007
Very deep colored rose - I really like this style. A sugary, melon-y nose. Medium acidity, but enough to keep it crisp and good for food pairing. The longer maceration gives it more color and tannins - its still a rose...
another excellent falanghina. good with food or by itself. hints of smokey caramel popcorn.
Wonderful with warm seafood salad - from dinner at Alto. Different - not like any other white wine I've had: clean, only slightly (but perfectly) aromatic (fruit/flowers/melon).
