Israel made contributions to this growing industry, which spread throughout the Middle East and Mediterranean. A document dating to around 1800 BC was discovered stating Israel was “...blessed with figs and vineyards producing wine in greater quantity than water.” However the wine that was available was often doctored with botanicals, honey, and other additives to make it more palatable. • Tishbi Vineyards Emerald Semi Dry Riesling 2006

    Snoothrank:

This is a very easy to drink, creamy, minty and luscious wine. Not very acidic, but with enough brightness to balance out the round and lush fruit. Nice lingering finish, nice nose, and overall a great value. Read More

  • Noah Tevel Cabernet-Merlot 2005

    Snoothrank:

The nose on this wine is the most interesting component. I smelled a hint of grassy peatiness rounded out by rich boysenberry. The flavors on the palate were not unique, and I thought the finish awkward. Overall, not a very impressive wine. Read More

  • Noah Muscat 2005

    Snoothrank:

This deeply colored wine has a beautifully perfumed nose, redolent with honeysuckle and floral elements. On the palate it is silky and sweet with a lingering apricot finish. Well-balanced and wonderfully structured, this is a real steal for the money! Read More

  • Karmei Yosef Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Bravdo 2003

    Snoothrank:

Smells and tastes like the wines of the Samson region of Israel. Watch out people - Israeli winemakers have developed wines that express the unique terroir of the Shimshon region of Israel. A soft Cabernet Sauvignon with a lovely herbal and brambly nose. Delicately structured with a spicy, green peppery finish. Bravo Bravdo! Read More
