In another dig, remarkably well preserved wine vessels were found in the ancient palace of King Minos in Knossos. On the mainland, the Myceneans, who existed from 1600-1100 BC, used fine gold and silver goblets to drink wine. Homer makes several mentions of wine in the Odyssey, which has in-depth descriptions of, for instance the  importance of wine as a travel comfort. • Mavrodaphne Kourtake NV

This wine was recommended to me as a good sweet dessert wine so I only have me and my husbands opinion to give. It is very sweet and it packs a punch, there is a lot of alcohol in this wine. However, it is very prune flavored or perhaps raisin flavored with a smokiness. I am not a wine expert by any means its just my 2 cents. Read More
