  Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Kabinett St. Urbans-Hof 2007

  A very nice wine. Low in alcohol (8.5%), so don't expect it to get you drunk. The lower alcohol makes the wine lighter in mouthfeel than others. Low in alcohol (8.5%), so don't expect it to get you drunk. The lower alcohol makes the wine lighter in mouthfeel than others. Opens with a really nice nose - golden sugar baked pears. Its off dry, but counter balanced with a nice spritz of acidity. Honeysuckle and green apple flavors dominate on the slightly tart finish. Exhibits really great balance. There's some light oily, smokey, character - it is Riesling... But, its still a delicate wine. Very nice.    (hide)
