  • Sideyard Vineyards Riesling Rheinhessen 2006

    Snoothrank:

Nice golden colour; hints of peach and tropical fruits (guava?) on the nose; a little sweet with quite a bit of acid, tropical fruits again and butterscotch on the palate. Ate with a red pasta sauce which neither added nor subtracted from the wine. Drunk Feb 2010. Bought a couple... Read more

  • Good Reisling (Mosel or Rheinwein) is relatively cheap for the quality. For ... white wine. One recent Rheinhessen by Gunderloch (a very reputable Weingute) is one such wine - Fritiz's Reisling. Anyway, a start...

  • Gunderloch Fritz's Reisling 2008

    Snoothrank:

  • Leonard Kreusch Rheinhessen Spatlese 2003

    Snoothrank:

I have no idea who gave me this wine. The bottle was dusty. It has moved with me to three different houses. It's the only wine in the house right now. I opened it and it is a beautiful golden color. Lovely Riesling. Could be a dessert wine in my opinion. I can't wait to drink... Read more

  • J. Koll & Cie. Rheinhessen Gewurztraminer 2007

    Snoothrank:

Gewurztraminers aren't usually my thing, but this wasn't bad. I picked it up at a local shop that sells German-style meats and other German products - http://schreinersfinesausages.com.
