Rothenberg on Snooth

My husband brought a bottle from Germany. It went down very smooth, and to be honest I drank the whole bottle, and NO hang over the next day. It is the PERFECT Auslese.

Wegeler Geisenheimer Rothenberg Auslese 2001

Starting at $43.00 Snoothrank: 3.5/5

If you prefer Rieslings on the sweeter side you might want to focus on the warmer regions of Germany, The Pfalz and Nahe, in lower acid vintages, such as 2003. Even if a wine doesn't have more sugar lower acidity can give...

Spatlese Rieslings are middle of the road in terms of sweetness. If you want sweet, look for an Auslese, or for dessert-sweet look for a Halbtrocken or a trockenbeerenauslese.

I haven't had this particular vintage but since the alcohol level is only 9% it will be fairly sweet. It should not disappoint you.

I like a sweeter Riesling... does anyone know if this is sweet?
