Nahe Wine

for this region?

The Nahe is a small but important German wine-producing region with vineyards scattered along the Nahe river. This unpretentious agriculture-focused region’s wines were either underpriced or subsumed into regional blends for a long time, but that is changing now that people have begun to see how truly superior they can be. Its Rieslings can equal those of the Mosel in finesse, but that variety makes up only about 26% of plantings. About a quarter of the wines are dry. Muller-Thurgau, Silvaner, and the Pinots make up most of the rest of the vines planted.
