Bergerac Sec is the appellation given to dry white wines from the Bergerac region in South-West France. The wines are typically blends of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Muscadelle, Ondenc, Chenin Blanc and Ugni Blanc (the latter cannot take up a larger percentage of a blend than Sauvignon Blanc). Bergerac Sec are characterized by crisp, light-bodied and dry, with zesty citrus and some tropical notes and a hint of white floral aromatics. These are best consumed when young and fresh.
