Jurançon Wine

Jurancon is an appellation created in 1936,although there has been viticulture here for centuries, for both dry [sec] and sweet white wines from 25 communes around the village of that name. This is located a couple of miles south of the town of Pau in the foothills of the Pyrennes mountains 30 miles north of the Spanish border. The wines are based on gros and petit manseng and courbu grapes
