Cotes de Provence

Cotes de Provence is a large, somewhat generic appellation in Provence that is best known for its rosés. However, some excellent reds are also made, mostly from Syrah and Mourvedre, but also Grenache, Cinsaut, Cabernet Sauvignon, and others. The few whites tend toward the soft and aromatic, dominated as they are by Semillon, Clairette, and Ugni Blanc.

REALLY happy with this one as a bright, simple yet interesting dry Provence rose. Bright on the palate as well, with all the above, slight blueberry? notes, and some minerality tempered by a surprising mouth filling softness... Read More
