Cotes de Provence

Cotes de Provence is a large, somewhat generic appellation in Provence that is best known for its rosés. However, some excellent reds are also made, mostly from Syrah and Mourvedre, but also Grenache, Cinsaut, Cabernet Sauvignon, and others. The few whites tend toward the soft and aromatic, dominated as they are by Semillon, Clairette, and Ugni Blanc.

  • Fleur de Mer Cotes de Provence Rose 2006

    Snoothrank:

(NV review). I really should know better by now than to fully read the label and tag. The trouble is, makers wax poetic about the joys of nuances, origin, and supposed other infused flavours. Truth is, Franzia's Zinfandel wine in a box has this beat on all accounts. "Flower of the Sea" is dry, tart, light, and unless you want to impress some... Read More
