    Snoothrank:

I bought this bottle of wine from a shop in Oxfordshire [www.oxfordwines.co.uk ... only 46 of them can use the Anjou Villages appellation, created in 1991 for red wines only made of the cabernet sauvignon and/or cabernet franc grapes. • Domaine des Forges Anjou-Villages "Les 3 C" 2010

    Snoothrank:

Very dusty/earthy nose. Smells like my great-grandmother's closet. Pairs well with braised pork shoulder. Acidic, with lots of terroir showing through. A surprise on the first sip, then it settles in. Improved after being open for a day; blunted the sharpness down a bit and brought out a little more fruit. Read More

What a lovely wine: soft, light bodied, softly perfumed with petals and dark cherries and a hint of cinnamon (?) with a mineral backbone. This is an easy winner. Read More

Très bonne expression de l'apellation et du terroir. Elaboré en cuve mais tanins naturels très présents. Idéal pour découvrir les vins de loire dans des prix raisonables. Mélange de cabernet et cabernet franc. Read More
