Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Rare Vintage Rose 1985
Snoothrank:
Faint sweet honey and flowers on the nose. Gigantic bubbles on the tongue, extremely crisp and dry but with a sweeter edge than most nice Champagnes I've had. The finish leaves a lovely sweetness on the font of the mouth, while the back remains bone dry - and jealous.

wonderfully crisp, clear, and dry. deep yet penetrating taste and finish, it's flavor has matured well and softened in its fruitiness, leaving a more nutty and grassy hint to it. excellent champagne.

Krug Grande Cuvee NV

Aged in neutral barrels with 6 years on the lees, this gives it its incredibly nutty nose, and its oily character. Sweet peach flavor and a fine bead, coupled with the acids, firm, but not overpowering, make this an exceptional wine. Great, extended, finish with subtle fig notes.

Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Rare Vintage Rose 1985
Snoothrank:
Light cherry color (made via skin contact instead of blending, as is usually done). This keeps the wine fruitier. Medium yeast and good acidity along with a strikingly sharp honeysuckle flavor. Overall this wine really wowed me. Softer finish, where the wine smooths out.
