  • Louis Jadot Macon Villages 2007

    Snoothrank: Starting at $10.99

This voluptuous white made from Chardonnay grapes offers notes of ripe apples, pears, vanilla, and toast. Made in the top region of Burgundy, the wine is a cuvée (blend) from several vineyards: Côte d'Or, Chalonnais, and Saint Vérand. One half of the wine is vinified and aged in... Read more

  • Verget Macon-Vergisson la Roche 2000

    Snoothrank:

We've worked our way through a case of this delicious Chardonnay over the last ... Blanc. One of the best Macons I've ever tasted

  • Guffens-Heynen Macon-Pierreclos En Crazy 2005

    Snoothrank:

Guffens-Heynen is the "home" estate of Jean-Marie Guffens, owner of the Verget ... wines. The 2005 Macon-Pierreclos is a satisfying, round, harmonious Chardonnay displaying lots of yeast, browned butter, and roasted nut notes on top of a spicy roasted-apple-like core of fruit. There... • Corinne & Thierry Drouin "La Roche" 2007

    Snoothrank:

Nutty and toasty nose. Big rusty smoldering nutty flavor that's nicely offset by a good deal of acidity. Nice complex finish.

  • Corinne & Thierry Drouin "La Roche" 2007

    Snoothrank:

Apples and cream permeate this wine. Though there is a little bit of heat on the finish, it's definitely not abrasive and mixes well with the butter and acidity. Very smooth, thick mouthfeel making this wine a meal in and of itself. Almost.

  • Corinne & Thierry Drouin "La Roche" 2007

    Snoothrank:

Really soft and buttery texture, with essences of caramel and toffee. Just a little too rich for me, but I appreciate the complexity and acidity.

  • Corinne & Thierry Drouin "La Roche" 2007

    Snoothrank:

Soft nutty oak and spice notes meld with the ripe orchard fruits on the nose. Big apple and Asian pear fruit notes with a wild flower top note. This is surprisingly soft and expansive in the mouth with a lush feel and golden fruit notes that envelope the aromatic oak and spice notes.... Read more

  • Domaine Talmard Macon-Chardonnay 2008

    Snoothrank:

my new house white - pale lemon color; nose of lemon-lime citrus, minerals, flint and subtle toasty oak; well balanced and vibrant on the palate -- nothing too fancy, but really good for 10 bucks
