Macon-Villages, often a significant step up in quality from Macon AC, encompasses 41 villages in the Maconnais, some of which actually are in Beaujolais. All of these wines are white. A wine made only in a specific village can append the name of the village instead of “Villages.”

Delicate lemony nose with hints of honeysuckle. Well balanced with great flavors of tropical fruits and a nice long fruity finish. Excellent and my pick of the tasting (6 chardonnay's). Very fruity for a Macon Village.

The attack shows an impressive dryness that gives the wine a lightly dusty quality across the palate. Deeply mineral with impeccably clean fruit, lemons, yellow grapefruit and mango combine on the palate. Moderate finish. Enjoy through 2016.

Very nice chardonnay from Macon. Medium bodied, more on the mellow side, not overly acidic but balanced. Dry with soft citrus, white stone fruit and a decent finish.
