Puligny-Montrachet is a village in the Cote de Beaune section of Burgundy’s Cote d’Or. It includes the all-white Grands Crus of Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, and Chevalier-Montrachet; the first two are shared with Chassagne-Montrachet.

2009. Very nice, well balanced chardonnay from Burgundy. Not as minerally or flinty as others we've tried in that it had more roundness and floral notes and less acidity.

Crisp, clean, refreshing with a hint of acidity. Pours a nice light golden colour even for a young wine and has hints of a slight chalkiness with peach and apple. Not the best Puligny I have had but still a reasonably good one for the price paid.

Not the best of Leflaive as 97s are rather flabby, but drinking around its peak right now. Especially good when I got it for $44.

The age is starting to show and this wine had a particularly funky nose (sulfur? mercaptins?) that was not for me. This wine was not like the other more recent vintages i tried. The finish was better and nice and buttery.
