Meursault is a village in the Cote de Beaune section of Burgund’s Cote d’Or. It does not contain any Grands Crus, but is nonetheless extremely famous for its Premier Cru white wines. These are Les Perrieres, Les Genevrieres, and Les Charmes. A little red Meursault is made as well.

If you like a richer, fatter style, while still complex, you may enjoy it quite a bit. I have been loving 2011 white burgundies, als... Read More

  • JonD- Yes, the 08 Picard Meursault Premier Cru was one of the wines that starts with a small explosion and grows all the way down the throat real earthy a taste not so easily achieved in a white. But arguably these "M" wines could be the very best of the best whites. The 2012 Chassagne-Montrachet "Les Vergers" 1er Cru that they served to me at t... Read More
