Acting on an on-line review, I bought a case from a reputable wine store. I've had two bottles thus far and have been disappointed at the lack of body & flavor and the excessive acidity. I'm wondering if I should lay the remaining bottles aside for another year or two. Read More

Sweet on the nose with spice, coffee and graham cracker notes under nicely ripe fruit. Nice and ripe in the mouth even a touch chunky this is simple and approachable with light, fresh, sappy fruit up front that recalls raspberry. Turning a touch plumper with air this remains a bit rough and rustic but is fun and approachable. 87pts Read More

  • Comte Senard Corton-Charlemagne 1995

Slightly peaked, with little fruit left. Perhaps slightly oxidized from a weak cork, but I think the wine was fine, just unimpressive. Nose was slightly earthy, with hints of wet straw and leather. Some stone fruits, like weak red plums on the tongue, and light leathery tannins. More pleasant than my notes lead on, but not a buy again at this... Read More

  • Jadot Chassagne Montrachet la Romanee 2002

yummy, deep golden colour, very complex & rich, lots of character - could almost be a dessert wine it's so thick - although not overly sweet - a goosebumpy delight, tastes very fresh - much more oompf than you expect from your average white. Recommend thorough chilling and a decanter to bring out the full tingle down your spine. Drink now; don't... Read More
