    Snoothrank:

Had this last night, paired with a traditionally prepared coq au vin and it just sang when paired with the dish. Kind of subtle on the nose - I picked up dried rasin and maybe a little leather - but very complex yet still quite delicate on the palate. The finish was long and I kept sequentially noticing different combinations of flavors- fruity,... Read More

  • Olivier Leflaive Pinot Noir Pernand-Vergelesses Premier Cru 2009

    Snoothrank:

Clear and transparent ruby-red colour, very consistent.Intense and complex aromas, clearly perceiving red fruits such as cherrys under spirit.Very acid but also warm and rich of tannins, only at first might seem fulling the mouth, persistent, still seems not totally equilibrated. Read More

  • Domaine Jean Monnier & Fils Puligny-Montrachet Nosroyes 2008

    Snoothrank:

Really, really good village white burgundy from Puligny-Montrachet. Great balance with a flinty, minerally taste and that fantastic tongue cleansing acidity. This is pure fruit, no oakiness or butter, not an ounce of flab on this. I'd be inclined to give it a higher score but I want to leave some room for when I next taste a Premier or Grand Cru.
