  • Comte Phillippe Senard Corton Charlemagne 1997

    Snoothrank:

For an older white that hadn't been kept cool and was on clearance for $6, I thought "Either this will be great or crap but worth a $6 gamble." • Roux Pere & Fils Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 1998

    Snoothrank:

Luscious, buttery, deep richness, almost caramelized. Transformed my opinion about dry wine wines.

  • Verget Corton Charlemagne Vielles Vignes 2005

    Snoothrank:

  • Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 1996

    Snoothrank:

Carolus Magnus where have you gone? Is this wine really worthy of its imperial title? I know that 1996 was the best vintage for white Burgundy since the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact, but this particular bottle (a half bottle, at that) was no show-stopper. To contrast with Allen... Read more
