On the palate, the Valmur shows all of its aristocratic style. A well built structure, with a strong character. Complex, with a mid palate of apples and pears, it develops flavors of shellfish and sea water. This is a beautiful trademark from this vineyard and this is a very good representation of its terroir. This is a drinking pleasure, I would LOVE to say there are flavors of white stone and exotic spice, NO! This is just one big full, round lemony Chardonnay and I mean a big mouth full of wine. One of the biggest & fullest Chablis I have ever drunk and it’s very, very good. GOD only knows how long this wine will live, but I expect to get a further 5+ years from this wine as it is just reaching a drinkable point now and should hold for some time to come.    (hide)
