Bourgogne AC is Burgundy’s generic appellation. In the Cote d’Or, the flatter, more fertile land at the base of the escarpment is typically given this appellation. These wines are generally thought of as not particularly serious or long-aging. When made by top producers, however, they can be outstanding values.
