  • Perhaps crap is a relative word. Bourgogne Aligote is the reason why Kir was invented. Especially if you're drinking the local chard, you don't really want to have to drink the aligote on its own--though it might be better than plenty of crappy whites in other regions on both sides of the Atlantic, I suppose.
