  • Georges Dubuf Régnié 2007

    Snoothrank:

I found this to be not as good as the 2005, which was a nice, deep and complex, more pinot-style wine. This is more like a typical Beaujolais Villages, very fruity and acidic. Read More

  • Georges Dubuf Régnié 2007

    Snoothrank:

Brought this wine to a tasting of French reds. It was one of the worst wines of the evening. I was very surprised since I have enjoyed other Duboeuf wines very much. Read More

  • Georges Dubuf Régnié 2007

    Snoothrank:

Rating 84 fruity nose that is short lived. Typical fruity simple Beaujolais style. You must be a Beaujolais fan to appreciate this. How WS could rate this that high is beyond me. Do they really go blind on the tastings? Read More

  • Regnie Mommessin Mommessin 2005

    Snoothrank:

Red-Purple plum color. Distinct aroma of raspberry and blackberry. Light to medium bodies with young tannins and a bit of spiciness. Acidity lingers through the finish and leaves you with a dry mouth. A little unrefined but has potential. Read More

  • Georges Dubuf Régnié 2007

    Snoothrank:

Doesn't do Beaujolais any favours in dispelling notions of 'bubblegum' and 'mouthstripping Nouveau'. It has hints of both with a bubblegum (albeit subtle) nose and tannin and acid overwhelming the black fruit. Nevertheless it will suit those who like their wine a bit stalky and austere. Read More

  • Georges Dubuf Régnié 2007

    Snoothrank:

This wine has a purple hue and is fairly transparent. Not overwhelming on the nose - earth and strawberry (?) notes. Medium bodied, medium-low acidity, low alcohol (compared to the California wines I've been used to), but lots of fruit - plum, blueberry and strawberry flavors. Easy to drink wine, good for summer weather. Read More
