Puiseguin-Saint-Emilion is a commune on the “right bank” of Bordeaux. It was once considered part of the major commune of Saint-Emilion, but in 1936, Puisseguin, along with Saint-Emilion’s other satellites, was given its own appellation. Like those of Saint-Emilion, these wines are dominated by Merlot. They can be very good, but are considered comparatively rustic.
