for this region?

Bordeaux rosé is made from the typical red Bordeaux varieties of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Carmenere. It can be made anywhere Bordeaux AC wine can be made. Generally, these wines are quite pale and delicate, since Bordeaux Clairet AC is reserved for darker, almost-red ones.

  • I stopped in at the Tucson "Total Wine" Store yesterday, since I was in Tucson for other reasons and wanted to pick up a bottle of George Dickel ( a nice Tennessee Whisky that I favor and for some reason, nobody in Sierra Vista carries it), Tucson is 1.5 hours from us, so I don't get over there every day. They were featuring a tasting of a nice ... Read More

  • Château Lalande Méric Bordeaux Rosé 2005

A fairly rich wine of of spice and berries, a good mouth full and feel, cedar, with a bit of iron, and cocoa. Decent complexity and length. I need to revist this one again, as the jury is still out. I caught a bit of iron and plum that may not be a regular showing for this wine. On any account, this wine had some substance and was drinking well ... Read More
