for this region?

Bordeaux rosé is made from the typical red Bordeaux varieties of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Carmenere. It can be made anywhere Bordeaux AC wine can be made. Generally, these wines are quite pale and delicate, since Bordeaux Clairet AC is reserved for darker, almost-red ones.

Falls more on the berry side of the rose spectrum. Nose of dried flowers, fallen foilage, light perfume, and indistinct red berry and melon. Slight acid bite with slightly candied ripe light fruit (oranges and red berry) with hints of wood and steel. Long finish with aged wood, steel, and ripe hard cheese fading. Dryish to off-dry. Body medium (... Read More

  • I stopped in at the Tucson "Total Wine" Store yesterday, since I was in Tucson for other reasons and wanted to pick up a bottle of George Dickel ( a nice Tennessee Whisky that I favor and for some reason, nobody in Sierra Vista carries it), Tucson is 1.5 hours from us, so I don't get over there every day. They were featuring a tasting of a nice ... Read More
