  Gato Negro San Pedro Shiraz Valle Central Wine 2007

  Slightly suprised at a price point of $5/btl. A dark red, w/ lots of plum and rasberry. Rich 13% alchohol and still a slight grassy smell, not overwhelming. Nice tannins and full-bodied. Rich 13% alchohol and still a slight grassy smell, not overwhelming. Nice tannins and full-bodied. Will work well with typical red meat, tomato/pastas and stronger cheeses. I can see this in the cellar for another 2 yrs and mellowing well... very surprised by a cheaper wine. Like a cute girl you date... she will not embarass you in front of friends.   Concha Y Toro Casillero del Diablo Merlot 2007

  Snoothrank:

  Pepper, plums, and an herbal aroma on the nose. Opened with sweet blackberry and currant notes, which faded into deep coffee, tobacco, and oak undertones. Not overly complex, but has some nice qualities.
