A full-bodied party in your mouth...
Yes, the Margaret River region is the best for Semillon Sauvignon Blanc although they are not renowed for these two varieties on their own; when blended... WOW! they are good at it! As for Semillon, let me do some...

Greg, I will think about the Bordeaux vs Hunter tasting you mention but at a ... Bordeaux in Australia is teh Margaret River... and there have been many tastings "vs. Bordeaux" for those reasons.
ok Guys, I think it is time to steer this topic back to the point... :-) I ... I wanted to buy a dozen of Margaret River Semillon Sauvignon Blanc... the question was "Which One?" - not for investment or ageing but for...
Very nice red. Smooth, not to dry, not too sweet. Excellent value.

Hey Sam - looking forward to learning more. I'll make sure to post some notes soon
Hello,
My name is Sam Fisher, I would like to introduce myself as the new Curator for this group and the lovely region of Margaret River. With the extensive list of wines available in this area, I forsee plenty of visits to this group. I say, lets make it happen!!!
I will in touch with more information soon.
Thanks.
White wines were never at the top of my favorites list. Then one day a few months ago, I ordered a case of Margaret River chardonnay from Cameron Hughes. That changed everything. I had never tasted a chardonnay as interesting as this one. First, the boquet is fantastic and is not floral. Then the tasting of this wine was so exciting because there are so many rich overtones going on at the same time. As usual with most Australian chardonnays, they are "mouth filling". This is a wine that I will buy again and again.
