Neuquén Wine

The production of premier quality fine wines concentrates the demand of the major and most competitive wine-making markets in the world. San Patricio del Chañar is the chosen area for these developments in Neuquén. In a period of five years, 1,400 hectares have been planted with vineyards and five wineries have been built. They are rather new wine-producing establishments that stand out for being state-of-the-art constructions that use top technology for their production process. A significant temperature range that reaches the 68º F during summer and a scarce rainfall rate, allow the grapes to ripen slowly, which favors the production of wines of intense colors and flavors.

  • Bodega del Fin del Mundo Malbec Reserva 2007

    Snoothrank:

Excellent Malbec for a fantastic price. Had this one at a Thanksgiving dinner paired with a wonderful beef Wellington dish. Excellent pair and I would highly recommend it. Fully body with a slight red berry fruit flavor that strikes right away. This slowly blends into a more spicy, bold flavor that is the perfect complement for red meat. Delicious! Read More

  • Universa de Los Andes Malbec Neuquén Reserva 2008

    Snoothrank:

Not a big nose, but it has earthy, meaty red fruit character. Big attack of flavor on the palate. Rich red berries complemented by some leaves and more earth. Nice, with good tannin. Very dry finish and it ends on a slightly bitter note. - Tasted at Khoury's 6/30/10 Read More
