Wine Ice Cream?
I recently got to witness a live demo in the kitchen at No. 9 Park, where they made sorbet out of traditional cocktail ingredients. This has me thinking, is there such thing as wine ice cream? If so, how can I get my hands on some?
I'm not a huge fan of dessert wines, but I think combining my favorite variety WITH dessert is the best of both worlds!
Any tips would be appreciated!
Luckily, you live in NYC, home of Wine Cellar Sorbets
I've seen this at several grocery stores, notably Best Yet Market in my neighborhood, but I think Whole Foods is a pretty sure bet, given that they were blogging about this awhile back.
I haven't had most of these, but I think wine sorbets are becoming trendy these days. Not sure anybody makes wine w/ literal iced cream though, as it wouldn't play well with the acidity as much. I can see an oaky chardonnay cream though

Wine Cellar Sorbet has a line of wine sorbets that are not very sweet and great for palate cleansing. If you're looking for something that's more like a dessert, Ciao Bella has a very sweet blackberry cabernet sorbet.
