What wine pairs with Mongolian BBQ?
Going to a local Mongolian BBQ restaurant tonight with some friends, wondering what wine to bring along. I know people often pair Chinese with spicier whites, would the same go here?
Yep. Spicy whites are great with this, as are sparkling. But since it's winter, maybe try a lighter red, like a Beaujolais, (Morgon, Brouilly, Fleurie, etc), Pinot Noir or Arbois. Rioja can sometimes match these flavors pretty nicely too, since some of them have this cola-like taste that likes the sauce and the meat. If all else fails, there's always Tsing Dao beer.
