"Thanks for the heads up about Alba, I was actually checking out their website just yesterday.

As for the Mystic area, Stonington Vineyards is about 10 minutes away from Jonathan Edwards. Their wines are good - a bit pricey, but good. Then just off 95 at Clinton (not far from Mystic) is Chamard winery They're just behind the Outlet Mall. Winery is charming, similar in feel to Jonathan Edwards, and the wines were very good. I really liked them. There's another winery fairly close to JE, Maugle Sierra, which I haven't tried yet, but am planning on doing so soon - will let you know.

Those are, in my opinion, the best options close to JE."

Sounds awesome. All we try to do is BYO's. I'll mark this one in my 'favorites'. Seems super easy to use, unlike others I've seen. Thanks for posting.

"We recently went to Alba Winery in Milford, NJ for Father's Day. They have a few good ones. I most liked the Dry Riesling. I also had a taste of the Gewurtz out of the tank. Can't wait for it's release. Other than that, I haven't done much in NJ, except for one of the wine festivals. I liked the Cape May Winery wines at the festival. Unfortunately, at a festival, things all start to taste the same, but Alba & Cape May stood out for me.

As for CT, we'll be coming out Mystic again in November. While we'll definitely be spending Saturday afternoon at JE. If we get there early on Friday, what else do you suggest in that area?"

"I don't blame you; it's a good one, but we have other good ones too. I'm just starting to explore NJ wineries. Checked out my first one, Ventimiglia Vineyards in Wantagh last month. May try to get down to a few more next weekend. Do you have any recommendations?"
