How about some California ports - Heitz Grignoglino (sp?) is very nice with dessert and not a killer pricewise. Don't know if it's available in KS.

I've visited the winery several times and found the cabs to be OK. However, they make a 3 grape port that is very oaky that we all love. I don't know if it's available anywhere...
